I'm new to this, so i'm just gonna ask or explain. For the past 3wks i have been smelling death and i have no clue why. It is so strong i can taste it, i have never been through this before and it's really making me sick. I know that there are spirits in my home but i've never had a problem before but for some reason this smell of death is around me, nobody else in my house can smell it but me, my animals don't even smell it, i can't even sleep, i put Vicks in my nose so i don't have to smell death. I don't know if losing 9 of my cats this summer due to someone poisoning them has anything to do with it or what it is. I know the house across the street has a spirit in it, He is a little boy, i see him in the attic window all the time, my husband sees him, but they have been working on the house to be sold so i don't know if he is reaching out or what it is, can you please explain to me why i'm going thru this?

What does death smell like, please? How do you know that this is something real if others in your home don't smell it? I'm not saying that it might not be something real, however, I'm curious as to whether something more might be going on here.

The smell that will not leave me smells like rotting flesh, i have searched my home for dead animals, we torn out some of te walls and can find nothing, I feel like i'm going crazy but nobody else smells this smell. And i smell this smell everywhere i go so i know something is wrong especially if i've never had a problem like this before, How do i know if this is real, well i have no other reason to want to smell rotting flesh so what possibly could this be if it isn't real. All i want to know is what may be causing this smell that nobody else smells.

This is going to seem really off the wall but have you been evaluated for infection in your teeth by a dentist or in your sinuses by a doctor? It would seem like you would have symptoms other than smelling something rotting but it would be worth ruling out.

It could also be neurological. The brain can effect so many senses especially smell.

There are many possible explanations...

Please seek medical explanations first and if still unexplained then search out other reasons.

Get a medical examination.

I have been to the doctors about my health as a matter of fact i just got home from an appt. And as for the dentist, i'm a perfect patient and i see him every three mths. I have had 3 surgerys done on my neck, and i have a degenertive spine but nothing that would make me smell rotting flesh...
