Back and Joint pain after childbirth?
3 months ago I gave birth by c section. It was a long labor and afterwards I had a lot of back pain and still do along w/sharp pains in my abdomen. It is an achy pain that travels across the lower back. Every time I walk I feel electricity shoot up to my neck. I feel stiff and weak after sitting for long periods and at times have some numbing in my legs. I can sometimes hear a clicking sound in my hips and knees. It just seems like they are out of place. When I went to my pcp he did a short nerve compression test such as lifting my toes and it turned out fine and said I had probably stretched or tore some ligaments so sent me to physical therapy. They did a urine test and ultra sound which was also fine. I've been going to therapy for a month and just feel worse. Just about a week ago I went to the doctor cause I thought I had a UTI and they said there was a high white blood count in my urine. They prescribed me macrobid and I took one dose. Later that day I took a naproxen cause my backk was really hurting. Within an hour I had muscle spasms in my abdomen and back. Soon after my body started shaking unconrollably and my feet turned completely ice cold and white. I couldn't feel my toes or bottom of my feet. I went to the ER and they said the spasms were from the UTI and I had some kind of panic attack or went into shock because my body doesn't like being sick. This really didn't make too much sense to me because my bladder wasn't just spasming but my back and other organs were. I just feel like I'm going to have to live with this pain and stiffness forever. Doesn't anyone have an idea of what may be going on? I have psoriasis and eczema and was wondering if it could be arthritus related.

I think maybe you should have an ultra sound or something to make sure something. I always hear stories of doctors leaving sponges inside of people. Also when I had my first baby I had problems like you are describing. I couldn't even get out of bed. I kept craving really, really hot showers. I had to have my (then) husband carry me to the shower. One day in the shower I had a really big discharge of something that filled a baby food jar. I think it was placenta, but I never had a problem after that.
I doubt it is from arthritis but it sure most likely is contributing to making your arthritis feel worse.
