    Dryer won't completely dry clothes
    Kenmore elite dryer about 5 years old will not completely dry clothes can it be the dryer heating element or thermostat

    It is probably the heating element. In the newer model they are usually located on the back of the unit. Take it off and you can take it to an appliance parts store and they can test it for you.

    Also your breaker may be tripped also for the dryer, that happened to me once we took the element off and took it in and it was okay. (the heating element if it isn't the problem they aren't returnable) Any way they told us to check the breaker and that is what is was.

    Since the breaker tripped it was running on 110 instead of 220
