    Hot Water Heater Circuit Break
What size circuit breaker should be used to wire a 40 gal electric hot water heater? I have been told a double 20 is OK and others say it's not.

I'm not real sure, I'm at work right now so I can't look. I know the one in my mobile home was hooked to a double 20. My dad is wiring a small house for me and he said the double 20 would be OK, but I wanted to double check because I didn't want to burn up the elements or anything.

To answer the question we must have more information. Not all water heaters are created equal. Give us the wattage, make/model, and any other information you can.
