We were dating for 2 years, and it was just before christmas when we both decided that we need some space. He promised me that when I realised this was a mistake that he would be waiting for me and that he will never stop loving me.

After a few days he told me that he had been with another girl, it wasn't until this happened that I realised just what a mistake this was and I wanted him back in my life so much, I kind of felt that the breakup wasn't real until this happened.

When I talked to him about this he said he doesn't know if he is ready for a relationship again and then he kissed me etc. then I asked him if we could at least give it a try and he said he would have to think about it. We then kissed again ( which he initiated) and after that I asked him if he had thought about it yet and he said he can't because he doesn't love me anymore.

This confused me as he was kissing me and all but then said he doesn't love me anymore? I asked him how long he has been feeling this way and he said a couple of months, although he said as we broke up he will always love me and be ready for me when I want him back...

Have I lost him forever? Does he really not love me anymore? Is there anything I can do?

Wondergirl summed that up nicely.

Don't get us wrong, you CAN still sleep with him and cuddle with him and be all lovey-dovey, but he's not yours anymore. You'll be sharing him with all the other girls he wants to do that stuff with, too.

And given the chance, he may just partake of that offer. So if you're the sharing type... keep kissing him. But you're kissing lips, not faithfulness or love.

What to do? Leave him alone.

If a man wants you, nothing can make him away. if he doesnt want you, nothing can make him stay.

I think everybody pretty much summed this up already, but it ended months ago when he stopped feeling in love with you. I'm sorry that you didn't know then, but I've been in that situation and it's not something that guys will readily admit. We're so afraid of hurting our significant other that we keep our silence and hope it all changes. The best you can do is move on.
