I am assuming that now that the flame sensor is cleaned the gas does not even flow at all and that the heater does not attempt to light.

Sometimes cleaning a sensor does not fix the problem, sometimes you have to have a new sensor.

Was the power cord unplugged while you were cleaning the sensor? I am not sure if it would short something it you were cleaning the sensor and touched the furnace with the sensor. I really don't think so.

When you are trying to get the furnace to light does the furnace vent inducer motor come on first thing and does it continue to run all the time you are attempting to get the furnace to light. Also after a few minutes does the main blower motor come on.

Answer these questions for me and I will see if I can help further.

I did not understand your answer, if you will please re-read my questions and give me the answers. Your furnace has to do things in the right order to know if it is working right or not.
