How do I change the name of a PA established 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation?
We are an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation in the state of PA and want to change our name. We are very small and need to know not only how to change the name formally but what other steps we need take to retain our status. Please let me know.

    Hello E:

I'd hire a CPA to, not only tell you what you have to do, but to DO it for you. Plus, he'll do it RIGHT. If you do it WRONG, you're going to owe a whole bunch of taxes.

I'll bet a CPA wouldn't charge more than $100 to do this. You should have a CPA on retainer anyway.
