Im looking for a mounting bracket for an SMC brand ceiling fan. Model oJ52V.

It has a 2" hanger ball and the canopy cover is 6-3/4" in dia. That requires the hanger bracket to have a mounting place for the canopy at 6-3/4" in dia. The canopy attaches on two side, 180 degrees apart, with 2 screws that are about 2" apart. Can anyone help me find a hanger bracket. I've tried Home depot, Lowe's, hardware stores and the Fan Man in Sacramento, Ca. No luck.

Just buy a new canopy/bracket/hanger kit. They sell them for vaulted ceilings (you can use them on flat ceilings too) and as replacement parts. Just mount the kit to the existing downrod. If will be easier than getting a part from SMC.
