    My kenmore model3384545 is not starting when pressing start going right to cancel/drain?

    This may be the safety feature kicking in when the drain at the bottom of the tub is clogged and keeps the motor from burning out when run "dry". Try unclogging the drain and your machine should work then.

Just moved to a hard water location and the dishwasher heating element is caked with a hard gray crust. The dishes have white powdery deposit that can be wiped off. Is there a way to remove the deposit or do I need a new elememt?
