Which music site will download legally, music for free

I don't know any where you can do it for free but you can get points from companies like Best Buy, Sony and Pepsi.
They said they are coming out with new technology that will shut your computer down from the internet automatically if it detects you downloading music or movies. I think that even if you reboot it still will not be able to get back on to the internet. Also they have technology that can prevent downloaded music from being played on anything except what it was originally downloaded to.

If you go to the site of a particular band that you like, it's possible that they might have samples of their music that you can download for free for promotional purposes.
