My 91' honda civic dx doesn't start
Well I was driving my car going 60 and then my car died and I pulled over and tried to start it and it made a popping noise like it was miss fireing.. I towed it back home and then tried it and my car wasn't starting so I opened the distributor and found the screw was loose.so I tightened it and then started it up and then turned it off because it grounded out on my valve cover somehow? And then since then it hasn't got any power going to the starter or engine,so I checked and the starter is still good.so I ran a separate wire to the ignition and it still doesn't start.what is wrong can anyone help me out?

. Test all underhood and underdash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Read this link, since the car won't crank:

    https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/cars-t...tml#post235560

. Read Sections A and B below, if the car still won't start:

Since the rotor came off, the secondary voltage may have damaged the coil and/or Ignition Control Module.

Ensure battery terminals and cable connections are clean and the battery is fully charged. If you have disconnected the negative battery cable, cleaned the starter motor connections, and it still doesn't crank, then you likely need to replace the starter motor.

Battery is good it's a new one.could it be the clutch switch that's the problem.like why the engine isn't cranking.cuz the starter goes but the engine doesn't.

Sounds like if you replace the Starter Signal Fuse the starter will work.

We'll the thing is that there is no power to the wires coming from the cluth switch.so what could it be?we had my car cranking for a little finally and we could hear the starter turning but the motor just wudnt turn.cud the clutch/starter switch be the reason why the motor isn't turning?

The starter motor is likely bad.

But how could the starter motor be bad if we took it to napa and kragen and they said it works still.today we jumpstarted the car while connected a remote starter to the car and it almost started but sparked on the battery ground cable.so we hooked it up to a different spot and when we turned on the ignition there was a loud clicking noise coming from the main relay what would be the next thing? And oh we found out that the coolant sensor was bad so we changed that and that's when this thing started with the noise from the main relay after we changed the ground.. so what could be wrong now
