What fuse are you talking about? Is it a little 3 amp fuse on the circuit board of the furnace. If that is the one then you have a problem with the low voltage wiring. It could be a small wire that has rubbed into the metal of the furnace or it could be two wires touching somewhere in the low voltage wiring.

If it is the 3 amp fuse do not jumper across it or you can possibily burn up the board or gas valve and change a small problem into a big one.

Sorry new to this. The fuse is a 8 amp that is located on the ssu switch. We replaced the capacitor and that guess didn't work. So now looking for some real help.

The SSu switch has a on off switch and a fuse I assume. If you bypass the fuse on a temporary basis you said the blower motor ran? When you turn the thermostat up does the burner come on at all?

Post the exact model number for the York unit.

When we bypassed the ssu switch and fuse the burner came on. Breaker tripped before fan could come on. There is no on off switch on ssu just a plug in for the heater and a spot for the 8 amp fuse. I am assuming its called a ssu switch? The heater is a york diamond 80 about 5 years old. Thanks for any help.

Sounds as if your blower motor has shorted to ground, either internally or somewhere along the external wiring connections.

Yep, definitely sounds like blower motor or motor wiring, most likely will need new motor.
