Getting custody over my mom not my dad
    Hi,

I am 13 and about to turn 14 in February. I have lived with my dad for the past 6/7 years and I want to switch custody agreements to where I live with my mom. My dad drinks at least 1 beer per week and he is never home until 11:30PM-5:00AM almost every night.I have talked it over with my mom and she has said that I need a lawyer but I have a possibility that I can represent myself. Me and my mom get along better than me and my dad. Me and my dad don't even have our own home we live with my oldest brother. My mom on the other hand has a home and she is home at a decent hour. I have a baby sister from my mom and an upcoming baby as well. I feel like I could be a big help and I have been. What should I do?

No, your mom has to hire an attorney and file for custody of you. You actually can do nothing but testify in court after your mom files for custody.

Or you mom can try and do it herself, but it is all up to her.

One beer a week?? Heck I drink more than that
