Hello.
I've trying to find for some time one movie, that I've seen aprox. 13 years ago (1995 and I guess I was something like 8 years old, maybe younger). I don't know why, but I just remembered that film and wanted to see it again. I don't know the title, any actors, any phrase or something; all I know is plot and aprox. Year.
So - sci-fi/action movie, 1980-1995.

Future, probably post-nuclear/apocaliptic time. Wastelands and other crap, everyone is either a freak or some other kind of non-normal-humans (cyborgs, humanoids etc.). The main actor (let's call him Guy 1) is a driver, where you must drive with somekind of self built cars and destroy others - rules - only one survives. Competation is on day and in desert.
That's was intro. The main plot is:

There are some good guys, who are looking for girl, who is sleeping in glass shell, and she has some kind of cure or pureness or smth, and they want her. So they hire Guy 1 to help them. They give him supporting team. I remember that one guy was with one eye (other eye was covered with eye patch and in the end reveals that he was a cyborg (he was killed by Guy 1 which he hitted with a rock)). Some other guy in the team was with pliers instead of arm.

So they drive after the girl. By the way a lot of thing happens - they were attacked by some ape-humans, they went through the sewers, they eated rats etc.; one fighting scene was in old bus depot.
And of course there was a bad guys. I think they wanted a girl too. So team were captured by Bad Guys. That Good guy with pliers nipped out Bad Guys eyes (they were transplanted later). Good guys were tortured with that streching thing. Of course, they escaped. Fighting, shootings bla bla. They got away.

Finally they found the girl. She was kept in some room and there was dead professor (father?). They putted glass shell with girl into a car and off they got. In the ending Guy 1 managed to make to some space port to Good guys. They flight away. Don't remember if the Guy 1 was the last survivor of the team. So they were flying to another planet (don't remember precisely) and wanted to use the girl to "restart" humans or smth. Girl wakes up, Guy 1 looks into girls eyes, and they are looking at each other. Happy ending.

Any idea what movie could it be?
