    Monetary concerns
I received my 1st and last DUI I have not and am not going to touch alcohol again I will be on probation. My question is I was told I would have to pay $100 dollars each time my po tests me. My husband and I are in a great hardship Our house is even going to foreclosure. I have no license and no job now, I wanted to know how this will work will they bill me each time and I will be for a lifetime paying it off ? Or will they lower the price because of my income status? How does this work if a person has no money? Thank You I appreciate your help.

If it's part of your punishment, for example, it was either jail or you pay for the testing, no, there is no way to get it reduced. You are on probation and this is a condition of your probation - if you do not pay you are in violation and can be sentenced to whatever the jail time would have been.

How often do you have to be tested or is it random?

In my area if you have to pay for your own testing you take the money with you to the test site.

Unfortunately if this is part of your probation you will have to pay regardless of your financial picture. If you can't pay have you entertained the thought of sitting the time out in jail instead? I'm not being snitty about this, I am being realistic. If you were sentenced to 30 days in jail and the judge gave you probation instead, you could do the jailtime and not be saddled with the testing charges. Some people actually take the jailtime vs the probation so they don't have to pay.

And people have also posted that they don't want to do probation and have taken the jail time.

I'm curious how OP lost her driver's license for one DUI/DWI. What State? Was an accident involved?
