How to fix highlights that are TOO blond?
I got my dark brown hair highlighted today and I think the highlights are way too light almost yellow. I told the stylist and she applied a toner but I'm still not happy with the results. How can I tone down the highlights to look more natural? If I apply a semi permanent color from a box will that help or make things worse? What color is best to tone them down and make them a dark blond?
    Help! Thanks

Heylo. I would recommend using either a semi-perminant or perminant home dye. A light neutral brown or mid brown would work well.

I wouldn't advise a semi permanent because instead of toning down the color it will suck it in (the type of hair that takes in color most is "virgin" hair and bleached hair). The only thing I can think of you doing is putting a semi permanent all over than getting the highlights redone. Someone might have a better idea though.
