I was so discuss ted I called the store and explained what happened. They asked me to bring the tooth by. I did the manager wanted to keep the tooth. I didn't give it to him. He took my number and the manufacturing company called me. The want to send someone to my house to put up the tooth and do some exam's on it to find out if it is really a tooth. I'm not sure if I should give it to them. Will they dispose of the evidence? I want to know if have a case?

I'd say you defo have a case! You could have choked on it, or hurt yourself. You might need to speak to a professional though, I wouldn't just hand it over because they could deny all knowledge of it. Talk to citizens advice or a lawyer?

You can't get damages for what might have happened, what could have happened. You can only collect for actual damages - such as the shock and fright and upset of finding a tooth in a meatball!
I'd talk to an Attorney before I released the tooth.

The tooth may be a bone fragment which happens all the time in a ground meat product. You call it a tooth. Did it look like a human tooth or animal tooth or only PART of what you think is a tooth?

Were there any permanent injuries to you? These days, in our litigation filled society, many courts will not take a case unless there are permanent injuries.

It's safe and wise to consult a lawyer before disposing or giving any thing that might be use as an evidence. It is best to consult a legal professional so you'll know your options.
