30 weeks
I don't know if this qualifies as a question since I'm just updating everyone about how things are coming along... lol.. Hopefully all this might help someone else at some point in time...
I just got back from my 30 week appt. and everything is much better than it was last week. I did get an u/s today and the girl weights 2lbs 15oz and the boy is at 3lbs 2oz. The girl has finally decided to go into the birthing position that's the good news... The boy on the other hand has flipped over again and is kicking the h*ll out of my cervix. Let me tell you that does not feel good at all. I have felt myself start to stretch out in prep. For birth. When I told the dr. he said that considering I'm carrying around six pounds of baby that it didn't surprise him. He didn't check me though. I'm kind of glad about that. I'm guessing I'm around two cm dilated now. He told me not to worry about going into labor just yet, but that I could in three weeks.. lol.. I decided to take child birth classes this time around since I'm having twins... I almost left last night cause they aren't telling me anything that I haven't experienced before. Nothing helpful anyway. The breathing technic is just plain funny to me cause I'm never going to use it... It made me yawn so much that I couldn't do it and I don't have the lung expansion in the first place to do it... All in all I had a wonderful appt this week and will be back in on wed next week to see a different dr. as mine won't be in that week. Besides, I really do need to get to know other dr's in the office cause there will be two present when I deliver... I plan on having an epidural during delivery just in case I do have to have a section. I want that pain med already in place when that is decided. It will all depend on how the babies are sitting when I go into labor. Well I am really tired and I'm going to take a nap. I hope this helps put everyone at ease, cause it sure has put me at ease. I'll check in soon... ttyl

That is exactly how I felt about the classes. I mainly just went so that my husband would go. Because they weren't telling me anything I didn't already know, but since he wasn't reading up on everything like I was, it was all news to him, and I think it helped him to be calmer about the process, and it helped him to feel more connected to the pregnancy, and more involved. It was also pretty great when they had a dad put on the preggy suit. Haha. It was this little suit that had all the weight and bulk in all the same areas that a preggy woman does, and they had the dad bend over to pick stuff up and so forth, so that he could feel how it felt for us girls. Haha. At least for a few minutes. Glad to hear all is well with you and the little angels.

Well the babies have decided to drop. I'm holding off as long as I can on the whole nesting instinct because it was two weeks with my last two that I had them after I cleaned everything from top to bottom. I'm doing lots of cleaning this weekend if I have the energy... lol. We also are having a huge baby shower/get together this weekend on Saturday. There's sapposed to be 45 plus people there. I can't wait to get out of the house!! I usually only get out if I'm headed to a dr appt. although I did over do it yesterday with shopping with my mom in law. I'm having my b/h contractions but they aren't painful or even worth timing since they are so few and far between. Sunday seems to be the day where I'm going to rearrange the nursery and paint the bathroom. We are also going to go and get a special outfit for both the babies. I'm guessing I have about a month before they decide to make their grand entrance... lol. Call it mom's intuition. Or the fact that they are making me dialate even more today and yesterday but I don't think it will be too long before they get here now. A month will put me at 34weeks. I am hoping they decide to "cook" a bit longer but my gut tells me different. I could be wrong though. It's been known to happen from time to time... hehehe

Wow, sounds like you are going to be busy this weekend!! Do be sure to take it easy if at all possible, or you may end up with them even sooner then you think. The shower sounds like its going to be great! You are going to get a lot of great stuff too! So you are getting two special outfits to bring them home in? I loved doing that with my son. I wanted my hubby to pick it out. I admit I was a little nervous about what he would pick, haha, but he did well and got something way adorable. I am so excited for you! Can't wait until your little ones are here!

Myth, I am so sorry I cannot come. I really tried, but like I said Rae is leaving for Florida and my oldest is coming into town tonight for a visit. We definitely will have to get together for coffee before they come.

Yep got to get two outfits for pictures to be taken in... lol. No hospital clothes for that. I will probably have Drew pick the boy outfit... lol. He doesn't know it yet though.
J_9,
No worries, I would opt to see my oldest too when it comes down to it. I have the car on wed so just let me know when and we'll meet up.

:o Well just got back from another appointment and everything is OK... although I'm measuring 36weeks. I feel like I'm ready to pop. I can't wait till they get here and I can actually bend over again. I have been having some really painful b/h contractions the last couple of days. Nothing new there... hehe.. It's getting really really hot down here. I am staying in the ac as much as possible. The boy still hasn't flipped around head down again yet. I keep hoping he will since he'd be the first out, but I'm starting to loose hope since it's getting so cramped in there. I am so tired and swollen all the time now. I just can't wait for this to be over... lol.. though I do want them as healthy as possible. Well I'll update this again next week when I have the next ultra sound.

Good to hear all is well! The heat is sooo tiresome when you are preggy. ESP with twin I would imagine! Hah. You're almost done, hang in there. Just drink lots of water, and get as much rest as possible. What you have been hearing for a long time I am sure. Sorry. Haha. Whens the baby shower?

Well I'm told that I have to stay indoors at the moment since the heat index is at 104. I don't even plan on walking to the mail box. It's about 65 in the house with the ac going. I don't think I could stand to do much more than sit here at the moment. We had the shower on the 15th and had 25 people come.. It was wonderful. I swear we were in the middle of a baby store with all the things we got. We did get a lot of diapers and wipes thank god. And outfits for the kids. Amazingly enough we didn't get any matching outfits. The guys that came loved the buffet style food arrangement, there was enough to choke a horse. We still have some cake left. After the shower it took me till today to get the swelling down in my legs... lol.. I'm just glad it went down. My b/p is starting to go up it was 130/70 yesterday. Its still OK but I'm starting to get concerned about developing pre eclampsia. Other than that I'm doing just fine trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in... Last night it was on the couch... lol... well think I'm going to go fold some of the kids clothes that I got washed yesterday... Keep your fingers crossed that I last a few more weeks.

Myth, 130/70 is still considered in the normal range. Don't worry, worry will only bring those number us higher. Do I have to get in my little car and bring my book and show you? You know I will!! ;) LOL, nah, I'll just give you a call, HAHA.
I am glad the shower went well. Jeeze if knew there was going to be food like that I would have come after all. Steven was not able to come visit, so it was just me & Johnny on Saturday.
Well, you rest and stay cool, it is already 98 here and we have not hit the hottest part of the day .
Well, you take care, and don't hesitate to call if you get bored.

Hi Myth. Jaime and I send our love and will keep our fingers crossed.
We went to the 'clinic' yesterday on a tour and Jaime really wants to have 'peanut' in a nice tub if all goes well. You girls have it a lot better these days than when I delivered 29 years ago - that was a cold surgical atmosphere. Now it's as if you're right at home - sometimes better.
Keep yourself and those twins hydrated, you hear?

Oh believe me and my bladder, we're hydrated. I drink at least a gallon if not more of water a day. I am not going out in that heat if someone paid me, and it would have to be a lot!! I almost wonder if I'm drinking too much water... lol. I highly doubt that. Thank you all for your well wishes.
Yes chery we really do have it good when it comes to all that... and just think what our mothers had to complain about to get us to this point... lol.. it's thanks to you and the generations before us that we have what we have today so pat yourself on the back. I just wonder what my children will have when there time comes... probably antigravity chambers or transporters or something... lol.

Being the 'treky' that I am, and believing in 'life after this one', I certainly hope that I get a chance to experience this at some point. There is one thing that can't be replaced though, and that's being able to carry our wonders, feel them grow, move, and to have them all to ourselves before we have to give them up and share them with the rest of the world.
I would even like the idea of some knowledge of life to be passed on in the genes so that they don't have to go through as much 'growing pain' as we've had. But, that's another story worth thinking about in another thread.
Give the babies a nice rub for me.

Well I had my weekly appointment today, including an u/s. They babies weigh 3 lbs. 10 oz and 3 lbs. 8oz. They are now both head down and are not expected to flip again. I can try for a vag delivery... yeah!! I am measuring 39 weeks.. full term... So dr said that up till 34 weeks they will try and stop labor at 34weeks they will stop it long enough to do the steroid for their lungs and then let me proceed with delivery. At most I think I have a month left to go. I think they're going to come sooner. Any guesses as to when and how much they will weigh? I was thinking about starting a thread for any guesses people might have... you know just for fun. I just don't know if anyone would participate though. Let me know what you think.

I say they better come on Aug 7 and weigh 4'12 and 5'11. I am sure you don't want to wait until Sept 13 which is my other choice!
Either way you are good to go now girl!!

HI Myth, you have done so well in this pregnancy,I would have been losing my mind if I found out there were two baby's inside me instead of one. Then to find out you only have a month to go or less you are one brave cookie : ) I know the delivery will go good to so don't worry about anything let your body do it's job, I should know my last child couldn't wait to come anymore oneday I was at 2cms then the doctor sent me home at 3am I started again and at 7:30am I was at ten cms at home when I got to the hospital she came out in my pants leg at 7:50am now she almost 3years old and now I'm waiting to see how this little girl will com into the world:) well you need your rest I'll talk to you soon. Well I don't think they will arrive with my pants still on me... lol... that's kind of funny. I bet that's how it would have happened with my oldest if I hadn't been in the hospital already. I'm hating life right now. The b/h contractions are getting a lot more frequent and are still very irregular. I would like to last two more weeks. I know I can do that, but any longer and I'm not sure. Right now I'm carrying around almost eight pounds of baby, even though there's two. My body is reacting like I'm supposed to be at the hospital in labor but that hasn't set in yet... crosses finger for two more weeks at least... I can feel them both in my pelvis. I know I'm dilating more I can feel it. Could anyone else feel themselves dilate with their children? I think that when one of them actually engages I'll start to worry more, so far so good on that front, at least not a permanent engagement. He always finds a way to squirm out... lol...
Anyway, I would love to be able to hold out till sept J_9 but somehow I'm doubting that will happen. I'm guessing that Drews birthday on the 12th of aug will be when they decide to make their appearance... lol... happy boat daddy... The full moon falls on the ninth and they would want to stop labor for a few days for the steroids to work on the babies lungs and well that would be the 12th... lol... I know I'm basing this all on a full moon... but have you ever seen a hospital on a full moon? I think it's as good a guess as any... lol... Well need to go baby drew he's sick at home today. Poor thing... I think he's got a flu bug... lol... hope I don't get it... Well I'll check back in later.

4lbs 02oz and 4 pounds is what I am guessing. On the 11th going in at 11pm. HAHHAHAA. Setting up a late night for you. But I think it will be a quick labor, and all will go well, and they will show up by the first hour of the 12th. Hehe, purely guessing out of the blue haha.
