Is the skin layer being very thin realted to some disease ?
    Hello to all,

My skin is very thin in the sense that one can see the complete nerves network (green color) on the body. Is this a sign of a disease or its common ??

I don't know how old you are but elderly people, say in their late 80s or so have very thin skin where every vein can be located. No, I don't think it is a sign of disease, but is common in the elderly.

I can clearly see the veins on the backs of my hands, some veins in my legs, that's normal. I don't know what you mean by seeing 'nerves' you wouldn't be seeing 'nerves'.

Do you drink a lot? I have heard (and I"m by NO means a medical professional - I'm a writer!) that if you drink a lot of alcohol, it creates an iron deficiency that makes your skin easily bruised and thin... not sure if this is a possibility, but could it be an iron problem?

Or, do you have a family history of "thin skin?" Do your parents/grandparents have thin skin?

This may be a really stupid question but I am a 32 y/o mother of two and becoming very neurotic about my appearance. I've never really had tight skin and I've become to get spider veins on both my legs and face. I know there is treatment for them so I'm okay with them for now but what I'm worried...
