    Facebook compatibility with IE 7
I received an email from Facebook stating the following:

"Unfortunately, the settings that control which email notifications get sent to you were lost. We're sorry for the inconvenience."
So I clicked on the link in the email and came upon a page that said:

"You are using an incompatible web browser.
Sorry, we're not cool enough to support your browser. Please keep it real with one of the following browsers:

    Mozilla Firefox
    Opera
    Safari
    Microsoft Internet Explorer
    Flock"

I am already using IE 7 and have been since I signed up with Facebook. I've never had a problem before and I don't understand what's going on or how to fix it. No matter what link I click on the Facebook website, it gives me the same screen with the same message. I don't get it. I haven't changed anything. Why is it not recognizing anymore that I am using one of the browsers listed and that I always have?

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, can you please help me figure this out?

    Thanks so much!

Facebook is continually being hacked, and at the time being is not a safe site as the profiles have been downloaded by frausters.

Hi johndoe99. So does that mean that my browser really is supported by Facebook and that the hackers have done something to keep me from being able to get in? Is there a work around or anything? I still don't know what I should do.

Thanks for the quick reply! :)

Yes your browser is supported by Facebook, thousands of Facebook members received the same message.

Try clearing out your browing history, cookies etc. and try signing back in. If you cannot contact Facebook here (fill out the details):

    Code:
    http://www.facebook.com/help/login.php
If you do manage to get in, reset your password.
