I have many problems with my new puppy
I just bought a second dog. She is a rhodesian ridgeback. My first is also a ridgeback. They are both around 7 months old. Only problem is my new one has not been leash trained or socialized at all. We live in an apt complex andshe is very scared all the time and goes to the bathroom wherever she wants to, I can't even get her outside to try and go cause she won't budge on a leash. What do I do any advice would help.. thanx

Perhaps you could try just getting her to accept the leash on her at all. If she is scared then just attaching it and trying to drag her outside will only increase her anxiety. Maybe you could try attaching a leash to your waist, and having her follow you about your business in the apartment, with a pocket full of treats in the meanwhile so that not only will the food distract her, but gives her a reason to enjoy being leashed. Do not try and force her outside until she is at ease with this. Then make small steps. Perhaps you could go just outside of the apartment, and just relax outside of the front door. Don't try to walk her, just stand there and talk soothingly to her and give her more treats, then after a few minutes go back inside. Repeat this until she is at ease with going right outside, and becomes more explorative of the immediate spot. Venture a little bit further, she might just plop down like a rock. Its okay, just go to the end of the leash, and calmly stand or sit until she decides to come by you. Given time she should become use to her surroundings, and being leashed. I hope this helps.
