severe pain after cementing implant crowns
    Hello all,

I have had 2 implants inserted and fully healed 3 or more months ago on 6th and 7th position down right. My wisdom tooth is still in . I also was wearing braces for 2 years for other teeth have crowded space. This was all fine, no pain or other problems.

Finally, two week ago I have had my dentist put in crowns in , but they didn't fit.
He ordered new ones and last week he put new crowns in.
Ever since I am in excruciating pain. Pain so severe that I take oxycodan every 4 hours, but it wears of in 3 hours. Sometimes I have to combine with tylanol 3 .Dentist then prescribed antibiotics and rinse . 2 days later pain just wasn't easing up.
After being to the dentist again while poking around, the most pain I was feeling was when he would touch gums between the implants . He suggested that the only reason he can see is that I need root canal done on wisdom tooth on the same side?
when full blown pain is so severe that the whole right hand side bottom jaw hurts.
none of the teeth are sensitive to cold / hot. Teeth 5 and 8 are somewhat sensitive to tapping , but not all all on biting down. I suspect that root canal is not the way to go as I believe that sensitivity comes from trauma.

visually, gums are fully healed around implants and crowns, however while on the 7 gums go up fairly high, on the 6 they are much lower.
x-rays show perfect fit of the crown to the abutment ( as far as I can see and he says)

when asked him how hard is it to take crowns out ( cemented ),he said "it's been done before" but I could see he wasn't really happy about the idea.

This is now day 6 of pain and sleeping for 3 hours between painkillers..

    any ideas?

Sounds like pain from another tooth.. wisdom teeth are not worth keeping, get them out... id have to see your case to know what's going on.. go back to the dentist and tell him you are in pain
