    Dependent Visa
    I am currently on a dependent visa on my husband who is on workpermit. I have been married for 1.5 years but want to file a divorce now. He is mentally harassing me and I can't live with him anymore. Can I switch from dependent to hsmp visa. Is it possible or else if I file a divorce do I need to go back to india. Please somebody help...

    Being on dependent visa, your status will be terminated as soon as the divorce is final. If you want to stay in UK, you may apply for hsmp visa, but you must return to your home country first and start from there...
