    Do I have to pay
    Mi live in Florida and my heat doesn't work do I have to pay my rent

    Yes. In most states the law requires that owners provide adaquate heat. You must first check why the heat does not work. If it simply a pilot thing the gas company can fix it. If it is simple the unit, the owner must fix or replace it. You must advised the owner in writing it is not working and he must fix it. After 30 days send another letter stating he has not fixed the
    Problem and you are advising them that if at the end of (10 days lets say) you will fix the unit and take out the cost from the rental amount. Do not fail to pay the rent. He can evict you.
