How do I evict stepdaughter if my husband is against this?
Hi, my 21 year old stepdaughter quit a job out of state and asked my husband if she could move back into our house with her 2 yr old old son to take a 2 month course that would help her get a better paying job. He agreed and told me she was coming back as he was on his way to pick her up from the train station. We had trouble with her in the past and had to put her out. I told him okay as long as he followed through and did not allow this to become long-term situation. After living with us for one week we found out she was pregnant with another kid and is planning on having it because her boyfriend refused to give her the okay on abortion, mind you he does not support the first baby and she refuses to file for child support with the state. During the two months that she has lived with us, it has been pure hell. She does not like to clean behind herself or her child. After I got onto her about her uncleanliness, she decided she was just going to get a job and move out. She got fired from one and just started another job that barely calls her in to work. I blew up last week and told my husband and her that I wanted her out by December 15th. She explained she never wanted to go to school, she was only doing It because she thought it would please us. She also told me there was no way in hell she would leave the house if her daddy didn’t tell her she had to. He is insistent on allowing her to stay through January. I have had it with both of them, he does not discuss these issues unless I bring them up to both of them. As you can see, I have more than just a stepdaughter problem in my house. How do I get rid of her and her son? I want to start the evicition process, however, would a judge honor my request if my husband shows up and says otherwise?

No there is no way to get rid of her as long as your husband is OK with it.

Well you could divorce the husband and kick both of them out.

Why don't you leave for a while? Is there a place you could go? Maybe that will get through to your husband.

I can understand why your upset with this situation but it is up to your husband to put his foot down with his daughter and it seems like he isn't on the same page as you. If this continues you would be the problem in your husband and stepdaughter eyes. Your husband might turn on you so if you kick her out he would only let her back in.

Even though you might not like this situation your problem at this point is with your husband not the stepdaughter. You have some tough decisions to make at this point.

Choose a room in your house, and make it yours.

Get locks put on it, that only you can open.

    Get a mini fridge.

Refuse to clean, cook, grocery shop or do any other chore until she is gone.

When you HUSBAND has to start taking care of her, solely on his own, I bet he changes his tune.
