    How long does tenant have to move out after receiving 5 day notice to pay rent or quit?

    If rent is not paid by the end of the 5th day, the landlord can proceed to court to file for a formal eviction. The whole process can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months... depending on how busy the courts are.
