    Discolored Carpet
I purchased from Lowe's a carpet cleaning product called Capture. It has a powder that you put on the stain and then vacuum off. I used it on my 1 year old dark tan carpet and now the stains have a white hue around them from the powder. It looks like it made the carpet lighter than it was. I tried contacting the company but have not had a response. Any suggestions? Has anyone used this product?

I actually have some of this and there's a big warning on mine (if we have the same product and I think we do) to test it on an inconspicuous part of the carpet before using it.

I learned the hard way with a similar problem.

I think you will not get relief from the company but maybe complaining to a HD store manage might get you some sympathy. That warning label is their boiler plate protection, you did not use the product as they directed.
