Modular home furnace constantly on and off
We have a rather large modular home at 1800 sq ft. I don't know the name or model of the furnace, but I know it is 4 years old. It is rather skinny/tall unit that is in a closet behind a bifold door right in the middle of the house. The constant on and off this thing is already driving me crazy and it's hardly winter yet. What is annoying is the constant whoosh of the fan. Why is this thing kicking on every 10 minutes? We have the thermostat set between 67-69 depending on the day. We only have a crawl space, so moving it is not an option. What can we do to block some of the sound coming from the fan, but no restrict air flow? Thanks

Mobile homes and modular homes seem to have this problem. The cycle rate on some thermostats and units can be changed but that usually allows for a wider temperature swing which cause discomfort. I have no idea what type of equipment you have since you did not take the time to list it so this is all I have to offer for your problem.

Odor from well water in modular home [ 1 Answers ]

The home is 13 years old and has been kept immaculately clean by previous owner. After moving in 3 weeks ago I was so dismayed that the odor was so strong coming from the shower. Nothing has helped so far. I spray Febreze but that's pretty expensive. Any suggestions appreciated. Anne
