I stole from my employer and its still on my record.
    Hi my name is kelvin,

When I was 17 I stole a $45 item from my employer (k-Mart). I was caught on video and terminated 4 days later. I was not charged with anything and I did not go to court, I paid the company a 260 fine and that was it. Its still on my record, I paid for the item and was never procecuted, so I was wondering how I can go about getting this taken off my record. I am 20 now and it's till on there, the company says that it can be on there up to 7 years. I know guys who have been in jail and the courts cleared there records at 18. How is this possible, I was young and dumb, I am trying to better myself. Please help thank you.

If the company said 7 years, it will probably be on there for 7 years.

Hopefully if you are honest and upfront that it was a young stupid mistake it should affect your ability to be employed.

    Good luck.

If there was no police no police tickets no court, there is no official police record. There can be dozens of other records on private search firms normally you can never remove records from private search firms.
