    Condominium management wants Money Claim
    Hello,

Around May of 2008 I moved to my condo. The building is about 20 years old,
Two week later, from the day of my move, there was some water leakage from my on suite shower, to below units, my insurance company has covered my damages for repairs, but the condo. Management wants to charge me over $1000.00 for the repairs of the two units below, and they are telling me I am responsible for the repairs although the water was leaking from inside the wall and it was not visible to me.

They have sent me two invoices so far, and my insurance company is not willing to help. And I don't think the building has file any claim to their insurance company?

What can I do? And can they damage my credit?.

    Thank you
    I would appreciate your advice.

    Thank you

You file a claim with your insurance carrier and that carrier negotiates with the other insurance carriers involved. I don't know why your company is not willing to accept the claim. By law (in every State I know) they have to take a written claim and send you a written response stating why they are refusing to pay.

If all else fails, go directly to the Association's insurance company -

If you get sued, then you bring in your insurance carrier and everyone argues the good, bad and ugly, pros and cons, in Court.
