    Changing breaker switch
The power went off to two outlets in my kitchen. I am assuming it's a bad breaker switch. How do I change the switch?

It may not be circuit breaker problem. Circuit breakers "blow" because the electrical load exceeds their rating. Unplug all devices from the " suspect" outlets. Check the circuit breaker box for tripped breakers. If one has been tripped, (it appear offset from the other breakers), firmly force it to the "off" position & then back to the "on" position. If the circuit breaker "blows" again, there may be another load on the line. Rarely do circuit breakers connect only 2 outlets. Find the house hold device that is not functioning. It might be in another room.

Bad assumption. 99.9% of the time when a breaker trips it is just doing it's job.

Follow Bones' advice and get back to us.

It could also be a tripped GFI.

And, it is not that rare for a circuit breaker to only protect only two outlets, especially in the kitchen.

If there are no tripped breakers or GFI devices, then the problem most likely is a loose connection in the circuit feeding the two outlets that have no power.
