This sort of job is in high demand but there isn't a lot to go around. Data entry can be done cheaply through outsourcing so it is trending that way.

I believe most data entry is for medical transcription. As long as you have terminology training and the proper equipment look for doctors offices/hospitals that may have advertisements.

    Good luck

    Greenclover,

There are data entry jobs available to do at home. However, you will have to market yourself as a professional and as the hard worker you say you are. Some sites you can use include Guru.com and Elance.com. Just as LearningAsIGo stated, they are in high demand and very little to go around. You will have to prove to the employer that they need you to complete their projects for them and no one else.

Both of those website have free membership options. They also have tutorials that show you how to create effective proposals, how to create invoices, and other helpful tips to market yourself.

Now there are plenty of phone support positions available if you don't mind talking on the phone. You can try west.com. I worked for them a while ago. You will be their employee, but you can determine your own hours. They deduct the applicable taxes from your paycheck so you won't have to worry about it at tax time.

I hope you can find some of this information helpful.

    Good luck with your search:)

I could answer questions about medical transcription and/or medical word editing as a field. I am a certified medical transcriptionist and educator. I know what is legitimate and what is not. I don't know if I will check back into this site much
