Buck woodburning stove thermostat burned up
We are trying to get our Buck Wood Stove to work properly. It has a three speed blower on it that ran off a thermostat I guess you would call it or maybe a rheostat? We had it going and the power company was working on the lines and had to shut down our juice. Well, this melted the thermostat, rheostat and we can run it on high only and not automatic. I called Buck Stoves and they do not make the part anymore. They want me to order a PCI replacement kit but said that I would still have to manually run the fan. The fan works so I am wondering if there is something else that I can use to make it run properly? I would like something to run the fan automatically on the three speeds that it originally ran when turned on automatic. Thanks for any help.

Burned thermostat ? [ 2 Answers ]

Goodmorning to all. My bathroom water heater mulfunctions frequently (every 2 months or so) in the sense that it burns the thermostat and hence cannot heat the water. Instead of replacing the thermostat all the time or changing the heater itself, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
