Dying hair red over blonde highlights
Hi there I wonder if you can help. I currently have blonde highlights dyed in my hair, and I want to change my hair colour to red. Is it OK to the hair dye red, over the already coloured highlights, or would this go weird colours?

    Thanks for your help

You could apply the red to the blonde but fading the colour out might be a bit of a problem. If your hair is porous then once the colour starts fading, it will be somewhat wishy washy red, if you know what I mean?

The colour will only be a temporary thing, so is there a quick way to get the dyed colour out? Are there any products that can help with washing out hair dyes?

    Thanks for your help PunkChic

Yes! You could regularly use a detox/clarifying shampoo until the colour fades out. :)

As it's a temporary it will wash up funny, go pinker on the blonde or orangey, it'll still look highlighted as it'll be a brighter red on the highlights and not so bright red on the natural hair colour
