    Child red dot rash!
:confused:My 2 year old son has eczema. Last night I put the lotion on him and this morning he woke up woth three red dots in the shape of a triangle on his chest. There are no bumps. He has one more by itself on his chest too... should I be worried and call the doctors or is this part of having eczema?

What? I have never heard of this, is it something new?

To the OP, has your child been exposed to chicken pox?

The reason if the red dots go away when you put a clear glass on it rules out menengitis

Can you post an educational article on this or is this an old wives tale? What kind of menegitis? Bacterial or Viral? Do you realize that menengitis is an infection of the menengis of the brain? How will a clear glass over a rash detect this? A lumbar puncture and laboratory tests on the spinal fluid to determine the type and severity of menegitis is the only way to diagnose this potentially deadly illness.
