    Invitation deadline
How, if possible can an invitation be sent as late as 12 days before the wedding in order to assuage hurt feelings for not receiving an invitation when others received theirs?

Send the invitations, and include a separate note saying that several were overlooked, and didn't get into the mail with the rest, although they were meant to. Extend your apologies, and say that their presence will be welcomed as it always was, to celebrate your special day.
