I am very depressed due to job loss because of construction accident, I have been depressed since I was 7 yrs old due to me losing my mother at a young age.My life has never been balance I tried to committ suicide when I was 19 yrs old and the same year I was arrested and now I have a felony and can't find a decent job. I am really depressed to the point I think my girlfriend wants to leave me.

I would join a special interest group. As lame as that sounds, you will forget about your misery for a while and take interest in other people and issues. Maybe even help someone else who needs it.
You need to get a depression diagnosis from an M.D. and get yourself some anti- depressants. If you are obsessing, you need some Zyban. If you can't sleep due to worries, get some Xanax.
If you want your girl to love you, you need to be loving. If you want her to please you, you need to be pleasant and pleasing.
If you mope, she will walk around you like she's on eggshells. This is exhausting. You have made her tired. If you want to energize her, surprise her. It's the little things that count.
My buddy has a record too. He decided to work as an independent to avoid the whole crim-check scene. He now owns 2 houses,
2 Porsches and a truck.
Turn your negative into a possitive. There is no way he could have made that much cash as some company slave.
As for your mom, I'm very sorry about that, but as cold as this sounds... you may well be lucky that you have the freedom to come and go and choose things without a mom breathing down your neck. Sorry if that sounds unsympathetic, but even at my age, my mom is always on my back and she's just getting started. Maybe you can cultivate some healthy friendships with older ladies at the special interest group you are going to join.
Singing is one, charity collecting, reading groups, spiritual groups (not necessarily religeous)Language groups(hubby and I sometimes have coffee and conversational Spanish groups) Welcome wagon groups, nature, astronomy, politics...
As long as your felony had nothing to do with children, you could get hired as a Santa Claus.
From there it could lead to another job. My jobs have always come from other things. I've never actually had to apply for jobs.

Every day you must:
-Get 8 hours of good sleep.
-8 glasses of good water.
-2000 good calories.
-1 hour of good exercise.
-20 minutes of good literature.
-2 minutes of good kissing. (just kissing)
-Keep booze down to 0-1-2 drinks per day.
-0 illegal drugs.
-5 minutes of thinking and thanking all the people in your life past and present. (Some people call this prayer, but you can just call it a disignation)then leave those thoughts alone until tomorrow.
-Smile. It produces endorphins which will make you feel good. It also attracts quality people into your life.
-Goodness begets goodness.
-Nature wants balance. Yin and Yang. It will swing the other way if you are patient.
(My misery lasted 11 years, now I'm on top of the world. It will happen for you too.)

Thank you bsd, and kbc and yes I take welbutrin I have been getting stronger mentally. I tried to start my own business and took a loss. But I will try again.
