Help! We have a 37inch TV that is almost 3 years old. The TV will power on, but then shuts off. Why? :(

I have the same issue with a Panasonic CT-36HL43. When I turn it on, the red light comes as it should. But before the just before or during the "BUZZ" sound happens (I think when the tube come on), the red light goes off and there is no power. If I hit power again, nothing happens at all. I have to unplug the power cord from the wall and then, when hitting the power button, the light comes on again and then off. I've tried other electrical outlets and same thing. Since it has power for a second, I assume it's not a blown fuse. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm assuming that it's your power modulator. Have it tested, and you'll probably be told that it's fried. If so, just have it replaced.
