    Judgement against me
    I just had a judgement against me filed in court . Its for a collection agency who sued me. I went in there by myself since I couldn't afford an attorney. I wrote the court and they sent the letter to the agency before the court date that I had no job since 2004, I had no income ,and I own no property, and I have no savings, no nothing. I also have other outstanding(credit card,hospital,ems,doctors, bills, ). I didn't even know who this bill was from. The other attorney answered a long detailed description of his "client" and how I owed but never did say who it was. I know I do owe credit card bills I never Paid but I had no idea who he was representing. I never maxed my credit cards out I just stopped paying because I lost my job. I was sued for over $2,000.00. I know none of by bills were for that amount. Now that I lost, what will happen? I have no income or job. I have nothing and I explained to the judge but he still ruled in favor of the collection agency. What should I do? And I told the judge because of my medical condition I knew there was no way I would ever be able to return to work, and I have no insurance to go to a doctor.

    Well first upon notice of the law suit, you should have motioned for proof of debt. If you have properly asked for it, they could not win without proving it.

    But they will have it, and if you ever open a bank account, if you ever get a job, they will garnish it.

    I was told by someone that a judgment was entered on my behalf by the collection agency. I left US in 2006 and came back home to Albania, and while I applied for another visa in US they denied it to me. Since then I haven't had a chance to know what is going on with my bills, and only three months ago a friend told me that e judgment was entered on my behalf and that if I don't pay till the end of December, I will be imprisoned from 6 up to 1 year.

    Can you please let me know which collection agnecy usually does this lawsuits in Michigan, so that I can call them and set a payment plan from here in Albania??

    Please if you could help me I would really appreciate it.
