Force air furnace runs only three minutes before shut down.
My Lennox elite gas forced air furnace, starts and runs about three to four minutes before shutting down, long before reaching the set thermostat temperature.

Could be a flame sensor but 3-4 minutes, if that is accurate, is a bit long. Does the blower motor start?

Yes, the blow motor runs for about two minutes before the furnace flame turns off. Then, the furnace motor continues until everything cools down.
