Hot Water at Bath Tub Just a Trickle
The water heater is working fine (I think) but we are slowly losing supply to a couple of the bath tubs. We are only getting a small amount from the hot water side. However, the hot water in the shower next to the tub is fine. Is something causing blockage and can I fix it myself?

To help we must know the brand name of the valve. One handle or two knobs? How old? Posi-Temp or Anti-Skald features? Do you flush your heater on a regular maintenance schedule? Give ne all the details, no matter how small. Regards, tom

It's a two handle. I didn't see a brand name on it. The house is nine years old and I'm pretty sure that's the original. No, I haven't done any maintenace on the water heater but it is probably nine years old as well.

Water continues to trickle [ 1 Answers ]

I'm replacing the water diverter in the hall bath. To do so, I have to cut the existing copper pipes (Which have no direct shut-off valve attached) and sweat on new ones. Recently I've had a drop in the volume of hot water that is coming through my system. It is a problem on every faucet in the house. The cold water pressure is GREAT. The house is 7 years old, and I believe that it has copper tubing throughout. I've been digging around for solutions to this for...

When I turn on the hot water in my shower, the pressure drops and trickles out of the shower head. It only seems to be the hot side which leads me to believe that there might be an issue with the water heater. I think it drops in the bathroom sink as well but not the kitchen sink. The water...
