Over 30 days since filing an answer
I received a complaint for an old credit card. Within the 30 days I filed a response. I haven't heard anything back. What happens now?

I received a summons delivered by the sherrif. A junk debt collector's attorney filed a complaint in distric court. In my answer I denied this debt. I listed many affirmative defenses, filed it, and sent the attorney a copy.

There should be some sort of hearing scheduled shortly. Be sure to check with the Clerk's office for the date of the hearing so yo can be sure to attend. Even though you are supposed to be mailed a copy of the Notice of Hearing, just to be on the safe side I'd call and find out when the hearing will be held and where.
