I am confused about conception date... SOMEONE HELP!

1) I went into my ultrasound (2x) and they come up with the conception date of May 14, 2008, which will leave me due around February 17, 2009... I do remember having sex that night; but

2) I had a funny and early period on April 23, 2008 and it was not normal color or flow. I was suppose to get my period on April 28, 2008 but the doctors insist that the ultrasound is right and since they are not too sure about what I am saying that they are going to rely on the ultrasound;

3) I found out I was pregnant late June;

4) People think I am 7 - 71/2 months along even knowing it is my second baby and it being a boy not 6 1/2 or 26 weeks right now.

What I am concerned about is my first baby girl was 6.9 pounds (small) but we are all small babies in my family and the ultrasound measures the baby on weight, development and length... is it possible I am further along then I think... if I had implantation bleeding on April 23, 2008 is it possible I am 7 months and 1 week or 29 weeks along and the baby will be due on January 28, 2009?

You could be a bit farther along, but early ultrasound is going to be the closest in terms of dating a pregnancy simply because of how the baby is measuring at that point. As time goes on, ultrasound measurements become even less accurate. They can't give you an exact conception date from either the last period or from scans... just an educated guess. This is why you will have a window of time before and after your due date that is considered a normal time frame for giving birth.

You may show larger simply because this is a second baby... fairly common for women to show sooner and larger with subsequent children.

Gave birth on February 11, 2009 so yes the ultrasound was completely accurate of May 14, 2008 date!
