Hi, Paul!
Does it still work? Are you able to post an image of it here with the table? Was the table specifically designed for the T.V.
Thanks!

Thanks! Don't need to be in a rush though with posting an image. It's very late (or early? ) where I am and I do need to get some sleep. I will be happy to take a look at whatever you post though. Someone else might come along who would be able to give you some helpful advice also.

Is this what it looks like?
V17-50 (V17 - Fifty) Radio Ultra Electric L
It's a gorgeous machine!
However I can't help much more than that, I hope it turns out that this is a collector's piece. Otherwise it might be worth next to nothing.

Just out of interest, this site lists the unit as £72.9s. I assume that would have been the price at launch. Quite a huge amount in those days.

wow! That's a lot of money in those days, How would I find out if it's a collectors item of antique value? Do you think I should put it in the loft and be worth something in years to come? Please advise.
many thanks

I'm not sure - I had a quick search around e-bay but couldn't find anything useful. You might want to contact an antique dealer in your area. Personally I'm not too hopeful :(
