College student need something to do for future.
I'm in my sophomore year in college an just got a job. I usually never think about savings or investments till last night, when I got into a heating conversation with a couple of my colleagues. Even though I was in a conversation that was way over my head I just couldn’t let one person in particular in my group win. Since then I have been looking into savings and investments that I can get into with little(about $200-$300) money down. My goal is to take about $300 from my pay check every month an put it into something . I really don’t know what I’m going to put money in, but I would be glad to take suggestions about what I should do.

$300 from each pay cheque a month is a considerable amount of money. I suggest you visit a financial planner at your bank who can suggest investment opportunities.

How long do you plan to leave it in, is it for a retirement fund or another purpose.

Tax free Municipal bonds are still good shorter term investments
