    Painting concrete floor in kitchen
I just removed the original vinyl tile and adhesive from my concrete kitchen floor. I will be applying concrete bonding primer and 1 part epoxy paint to it. It says I need to etch the concrete. Do I need to if nothing is on it? I don't think they sealed the concrete before putting down a vinyl floor in a new home.

I am etching a shower floor, concrete based also.

I use muriatic acid to do the etching, then dousing it with baking soda to neutralize it.

Painting it with UGL drylok keeps it looking good for a few years or so.
