H1b on bench and filing taxes
    Hi,
I am H1B holder and my husband is on L1 Visa. We entered the country in march 2008 and I haven't worked since then and I won't be having w2 for 2008. How should we file taxes for 2008 and also we have a daughter who is on H4 visa. What are the options do we have? Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

    Thanks

For maximum deductions, you can file resident tax return as married filing jointly and claim your daughter as dependent.

You must both declared worldwide income for 2008. If you are including foreign income, you can claim foreign tax credit form 1116 or use Form 2555 Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. Read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/...h-foreign.html
