    I would suggest starting with help from score.org or sba.gov to prepare a business plan. This plan will detail all the things you will need to get started

    Hello p:

    The SCORE guys are FREE so that's a VERY good resource.

    You can also buy business plan software for about $50. That too, will lead you through the process.

    How old are you? Have you ever run a business?

    As has already been mentioned, www.score.org/ and www.sba.gov/ are both really good resources too.

    Yes, you would need some kind of business plan. Doesn't necessarily need to be something fancy, however you do need a plan. That would be the way to start.

    Where would you like to operate your business? Depending on the size, that sort of hobby shop might be something that you could operate out of your own home if all the requirements for doing so are met.

    You can have advertise on the Internet for free and also have free websites.

    There might be some free business plans that you can find by clicking on the following search. RC Hobby Shop Free Business Plan - Google Search If you find one that you think is close to describing the kind of hobby shop that you want to have, then you could tailor the information in it to fit your own business plan.
