    Oil smell from electric dryer
I have an oil smell coming from my Maytag dryer for about the last three days. We are currently in the process of having our hardwood floors redone - is it possible that the fumes have gotten in to the dryer? If so, is there anything that I can do to clean it out, or does it just have to run its course? Thanks for your help... I thought I'd check here before calling in a repair person.

Have you worked on a car or come in contact with any oil that got on clothes, or check the motor to see if you can smell oil coming from the motor

Ok - I will check that. To my knowledge, I didn't wash anything with chemicals on it, but I will check the back to see if the smell is coming from the motor. Thanks!
