Well I had a knife slip and put a 1by2 inch gouge in the coutertop edge, I don't know if a filler might work, and I need immediate help, because someone is going to come over in about 1 week. Thnk you in advance.

Must have been a really big knife to cause a 1X2 inch gouge, huh?

A repair of this size sounds like you would need a professional to come and assess the job.

A scratch of any substantial depth, could be filled with liquid bonder, but a gouge like you describe might need removal and replacement, many sanding grits, and polishing to bring back the luster.

Maybe someone else will have further advice.

If it is really that big, I agree with KBC. You will need a professional repair. We sell a lot of repair materials for Corian but this seems like more than a homeowner should attempt alone.

    John,

A knife usually makes a 1/4" or less gouge from the point. Or a long thin scratch. We have a couple of techniques that work in that case. It may also depend on the color/pattern
